Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, Chennai, India

I am a Medical Degree holder, with a Post-graduate degree in Pharmacology.  As a Pharmacologist, I consider it my duty to create awareness amongst the public regarding this crucial problem of “ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE“, it is a Threat, a Crisis, an Universal Problem.

My Pharmacology Department of SRM Dental College, Chennai is conducting “AWARENESS PROGRAMS” on Antibiotic Resistance in many Phases – for: Teaching Staff of our Dental College, other Colleges of our University, Teaching Staff of many Schools and Rotary club members.  Our future plan of action is to conduct such programs for the public.

It is an “UPHIL TASK”, in our dense Indian population.  Since many are uneducated, many are in rural areas (villages) adn to approach them is difficult.  Also financial support fromo the government for such programs is lacking.

As Medical personnel, we wish to co-ordinate with members of such organization – Antibiotc Action Team.  Therefore we would like to collaborate with Antibiotic Action Team and need your guidance urgently, to conduct these “Awareness Programs” as a continuous process to create awareness amongst the public.
