Emily Pui-Yee Seto

MSc student, West Covina, USA

I am a postgraduate student studying Clinical Microbiology at the University of Nottingham.  I am currently interested in pursuing a PhD with research in Antimicrobial resistance (particularly in hospital acquired infections).  At the age of four, I had Enterohaemorrhagic E.coli 0157:H7 which sparked my interest in public health and infection.  To further my interest, I was accepted into an infectious disease research lab under the Dean of the UCI Medical Center during my undergraduate and worked at Orange County Public Health lab, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and UCI Medical Center after I graduated.  My hobbies include hunting for jazz vinyl’s, travelling and teaching piano with my CM advanced level certification for piano.
