Senior Researcher with more than 11 years of experience in I+D. She worked for Merck & Co for 9 years where she contributed actively in the discovery of new antibiotics from natural products (moriniafungin, pannomycin and virgineone).

In October 2009 she joined the Fundación MEDINA as Senior Researcher at the Screening and Target Validation Department, being responsible for development, validation, automation, execution and analysis of microbiological both agar and liquid assays formats searching for new antibacterial compounds and antifungal agents from natural products, as well as the implementation and validation of new approaches to improve the quality and the performance of the processes. She is also involved in the analysis of samples in LC-MS, in the study of the profiles obtained for the replication of known compounds and in the extraction and DNA sequencing for taxonomic determinations. At the same time, she is charge of the training of laboratory technicians and fellows in microbiological techniques and in the use of equipment and automated liquid handling stations. She is co-author of several publications and scientific posters and presentations at national and international conferences and congresses.
