Miss Jennifer Louise Cottell

Post-doctoral Researcher, Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Canada

My name is Jennifer Cottell and I am a British Post-doctoral researcher working at the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in Canada.  My research interests include investigation of the conditions and mechanisms by which Enterobacteriaceae are able to acquire, maintain and share antimicrobial resistance genes, contributing to the increasing global burden of antimicrobial resistance.  I believe raising awareness of the impending resistance crisis and the diminishing arsenal of active antimicrobial agents through the Antibiotic Action Campaign is of huge importance and I am very glad to be a part of spreading the word both back in British and here in Canada.
