Antibiotic Resistance (sometimes referred to as drug resistance) is a problem that affects us all. It is a complex, many-sided issue that needs to be tackled from a variety of different directions all at once, and on a global scale. This doesn’t mean, though, that you can’t make a difference and be part of the solution. We all need to do our part to slow the spread of resistance so that doctors can keep saving lives.
The first step to solving the problem is to understand why using antibiotics responsibly makes such a big difference by understanding the basic science of how resistance occurs.
