Dr Brown, in speaking of his appointment, said “I am delighted to take on the role of Director of Antibiotic Action and look forward to working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to increase the reach and influence of Antibiotic Action.”
He continued “Professor Laura Piddock has worked tirelessly over the past five years to raise the profile of the need to address the AMR crisis. BSAC is determined to build on her successes and the legacy she leaves behind, particularly in ensuring antimicrobial resistance remains high on the political agenda through the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Antibiotics.”
Professor Piddock stated “Dr Brown and I have worked together on many activities over the last five years and I am confident that under his leadership Antibiotic Action will go from strength to strength”.
