The Lee Spark NF Foundation fully supports and recognises the importance of the Antibiotic Campaign. The patients and families we support following diagnosis and treatment of necrotising fasciitis (NF) know only too well the importance that antibiotics played in ensuring their survival and return to health. Whilst success in treating NF relies on early diagnosis this would be fruitless if effective antibiotics were not available to be administered intravenously and in combination. Fantastic efforts have been made in recent years to improve survival rates of NF sufferers, with clinicians working tirelessly alongside us to raise awareness in both professional and public circles. It is unthinkable that this progress could potentially be reversed by a lack of effective agents.
