UN announces interagency group to coordinate global fight against antimicrobial resistance

The establishment of an Interagency Coordination Group on Antimicrobial Resistance (ICG-AMR) has been announced by the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General. The group, co-chaired by Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed and World Health Organization Director-General Dr Margaret Chan, is expected to provide guidance on approaches to combat AMR.
